History

Dahl Trucking was started in the mid 1980's on the family farm in East Chain, Minnesota. Working with four trucks and five employees, business was conducted from the dining room, until they began leasing office space in the mid 1990's.

During the late 1990's the John Deere building in Swea City Iowa that housed Dahl Trucking for a number of years was sold, at that time the decision was made to register the business in Minnesota. It still maintains a satellite office in Swea City Iowa.

In 1990 Dahl Trucking was incorporated by Marlin and Linda Dahl who became officers and shareholders.

1990's Dahl Trucking opened a shop located in East Chain, MN. The building houses a one bay truck wash along with five complete service bays, and five full time mechanics. The "East Chain Shop" maintains outside business along with assisting in maintaining the Dahl Trucking Fleet. It continues to be a vital part of Dahl Trucking operations.

  • In 2006 Dahl Trucking Inc. purchased an existing building in Elmore, MN.
  • After renovation Elmore Truck and Trailer Service opened in 2007, offering a full service shop staffed with six full time mechanics and one part time employee.
  • Elmore Truck and Trailer Service is equipped to take in customer equipment for service and repair as well as maintenance on Dahl Trucking Inc Fleet.
  • Two service vehicles are available for on the spot service from roadside to the field.
  • 24 hour Emergency service is available for towing, recovery and service calls.

During the winter of 2007 to early spring 2008 a portion of the building was remodeled for offices that provided Dahl Trucking Inc. the much needed space offering a conference room, drivers lounge, storage, fax room and separate offices for our employees On March 24, 2008 the main office was moved from East Chain to 305 Hwy 169 South, Elmore, MN.

In 2009 the decision was made to restructure due to the continued growth of the company this become effective in early 2010. This allows each entity to better meet the needs of its customers and employees.

By late spring the purchase of property located to the north of Elmore Truck and Trailer was completed. Mid summer of 2010 heavy equipment was moved in, demolition and clean up of the building that housed a gas station and convenient store on Hwy 169 was completed within days. Located on the site today is a Fast Stop Express station that provides card troll pumps, serving the area 24 hours a day.

While Dahl Trucking Inc. has experienced significant growth and changes since it was founded years ago, some things have not changed, their reputation of honesty and integrity continues to serve them today.
